Starting a business can be an exciting time. And stressful one as well. Finding ways to market your business, sell your brand and turn prospects into buying customers can be a scary and daunting task.  As a business owner it has to be done right in order to take your business to the next level.

What is the definition of Branding?

To put it plainly, it is someone perception of your business and you. Think about you and your business. What sets you apart from the rest of them?

This can fall into a couple of categories such as image, customer service, products (niche), services your provide etc. to name a few.

So when you are branding yourself, take a moment and think about what do you want your customer or potential business partner to perceive you as.

Branding yourself is number one.

 

Branding yourself is just as important as branding your business.

 

 

The customer wants to know who they are doing business with. Is this person reputable and trustworthy.

Again it shows people who you are and what you stand for as a business owner.

 

 

Branding yourself can lead to more traffic to your website, more sales and more followers.

 

 

As a new business owner we can sometimes forget how important branding can be. Running a business is a very competitive and without strong branding you will get lost in the sauce.

 

 

Take time and review the product and service that your business offers and how it fits into the market.

 

 

Find your niche. Creating a avatar is a great way to identify your target audience. In return it will help you with branding yourself and your business.

 

Build strong relationships with your customers. Be very clear on your products, customers and what you offer your customers.

 

So many of us get a logo for our business and we think that we are branded. That is so far from the truth. A logo is only part of the process.

 

Let your voice and tone be heard through your business color schemes, fonts, business message, customer avatar and so on. Research your market and never try to imitate or mimic another business brand.

 

Be your own unique identity.

 

Be innovative and bold with your branding.  Don’t lose yourself in the process.
