It’s All On You
Before the New Year 2k18 I made the decision to work on me. I wanted to transform all areas of my life mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially. The area I decided to tackle first was my health.
Fast forward, I got a gym membership with La Fitness and started working out the day after. I made a commitment to my health coach and self that I would work out 4 times a week.
Within the first 30 days, I lost 10lbs! Whoop, Whoop for me!
Dedication and Discipline
I’ve been preparing myself mentally by staying consistent with my workouts. I don’t want this to be another goal that I do not complete. I knew in order for me to live a healthier lifestyle, I had to change the way I do things.
You only get one shot at this thing called life.
Next up on my list, was to change my eating habits. I stopped eating bread, fast foods, and fried foods. Somehow I continue to find my way back to eating those foods.
I then said to myself, I have to try something different. Because of all the commotion behind What the Health documentary, I decided to watch it. And like the others I made a conscious decision to become a vegan.
This isn’t anything new to me. I fast several times throughout the year for various reasons. i.e., the Daniel fast, intermittent fast, and water fast. What is new? Restricting dairy! This a big one for me I love me some cheese. I will say, since I switched over I haven’t craved any at all!
So here is why I became a vegan….

- I watched What the Health and Food Inc on Netflix
- I lost 30 lbs before eating only VEGGIES and FRUIT.
- I wanted to become a healthier version of ME.
- To increase my energy level.
- I’m in control of what I intake. I NOW know what I am eating. I do not have to worry if its cat or dog. lol. I can spend more time in the kitchen creating and cooking healthier meals.
