Today’s interview is for my beauty enthusiasts, influencers, makeup artists, hair professionals and female entrepreneurs looking to expose their brand and dominant the beauty industry. Meet Tiffani Hunt, Owner of BeautyBossLab.com  and brand strategist. She shares with us her journey of entrepreneurship and why she decided to create a beauty business hub.

Read the gems she dropped below….

Q. Tell us about yourself and business.

I am a graphic designer and brand strategist for the beauty industry. I have had my business Tiffani Ink for over 10 years and recently decided to focus completely on services and tools for entrepreneurs who want to sell products in the beauty space. My company is now called Beauty Boss Lab (www.beautybosslab.com).tiffani-nicole-beauty-boss-lab

Q. What made you start your business?

After working in entertainment PR for 7 years and being laid off from my job I decided I was going to either start my own PR firm or Graphic Design company. I decided to start my graphic design company. I was always passionate about it and realized it was something I could do and not get tired of it. When I started out, I just wanted to work,  so I took clients from various industries. As I grew and matured as a designer and in business I realized the beauty industry was what I enjoyed working with the most.

Q. What keeps you motivated and encourage? What challenges have you faced in while in business?

What keeps me motivated is the freedom I have as a business owner. At the level I am at now I decide how much work and who I want to work with. Like any entrepreneur, I faced challenges such as keeping income steady, getting clients and becoming disciplined with my work schedule.

Q. What advice have you received in business that you wish to pass on to our readers?

One thing that I learned recently working with a very well-known beauty influencer is to just GO FOR IT.

Don’t wait, when you have an idea when you want to make something happen JUST DO IT.

Q. What tips do you have for small business owners and female entrepreneurs when it comes to branding, marketing, and designing in the beauty and cosmetic industry?

My biggest tip, I always give online beauty businesses is to IDENTIFY YOUR NICHE and create an experience. The beauty industry is saturated; people don’t buy products they buy experiences. They want things that speak directly to them.

Q.  I noticed on your IG page that you have worked with Marketing Guru Ming Lee how did that collaboration come about?

Ming was amazing to work with! I rebranded both of her companies and we ended up collaborating on a Special Edition of my hair book How to Sell Hair Extensions Online which is available exclusively on Snoblife.com.

Q.  Do you have any events, product releases or services going on right now or this year?

Yes, Beauty Boss Lab is coming soon. It will be a hub for entrepreneurs looking to sale a product in the beauty space and will be launching at the end of June. I will also be releasing another specialized book like How to Sell Hair Extensions Online but focusing on Make-Up.

Q.  Would you like to share anything else with our readers?

Starting a business in the beauty industry won’t be easy it will be worth it!

Thank Tiffani on IG, for sharing her story of entrepreneurship and highlighting the REAL day to day challenges of an entrepreneur. I hope she has inspired you. Go follow her on Instagram: @beautybosslab and visit her website www.beautybosslab.com
